Nursing Department

 

Nursing Administration is dedicated to provide qualified nurses who are knowledgeable, courteous, committed and competent.  The department is committed to provide continuous clinical and educational in-services to maintain and improve nursing skills in order to give quality health care services at International Standards and promote customer satisfaction.

 

Outpatient Nursing Department provides quality of service by delivering nursing care at International Standards and promotes satisfaction for all patients.  We are dedicated to provide this in a competent, respectful and professional manner.

 

In-Patient Nursing Care Services provide best patient care, meeting International Nursing Standards that are cost effective and promoting quality health care to all patients.  We educate patients and their families and strive to meet the customer needs in a competent, courteous and professional manner.

 


Consists of a Male Ward with 25 beds; and a Female Ward with 25 beds plus 5 for children; distributed into shared, private and suite rooms. All rooms are equipped with medical gases and electric beds, TV., telephone, refrigerator.


The shared rooms are designed for two beds, private rooms have a companion bed, suite rooms have a private saloon and bathroom.


Each ward has an experienced nursing team, with the head nurse assisted round the clock by a group of nurses to cover in patient needs and execute treating doctors' instructions.


 In addition, there are 2 Intensive care rooms with 8 beds in each ward which are equipped with all life-saving and monitoring equipment.


 

ICU / CCU / NICU Department

 

Dedicated to provide a high quality health care service utilizing a scientific and human approach to patients, based on appropriate clinical investigations and evidence based medical care.  To provide a high standard care through courteous, competent and compassionate professionals devoted to optimal clinical outcomes. To provide the utmost medical care to all patients.

 

ICU at Green Crescent Hospital is a 8 - bedded unit which is well designed and capacious giving a sense of comfort and space. It is highly equipped according to the International Standards. Each bed is equipped with high technology equipment's. ICU includes:

 

 
 

10 electric beds with different position allowance.


Coloured monitors with advance technology equipped to handle all the parameters needed to monitor a critically ill patient as Pulse, Respiration, ECG, Temperature, Blood pressure, Invasive pressure monitoring (for CVP, Arterial line or swan ganz, etc.) Cardiac output, SPO2 etc.


Availability of oxygen, compressed air and suction in wall in- built circuits.


Mechanical Ventilators and tables for transferring patient through ambulance that can allow invasive and non-invasive ventilation and able to handle all respiratory requirements.


Dynamaps & pulse oximeters.  Advance syringe pumps, infusion pumps and nasogastric tube feeding arrangements.


Cooling & warming blankets for each bed.


Portable monitors for transfer of patient to different areas in the hospital e.g. Radiology Department.


Trauscutaneous temporary pacemaker.


Procedure room with C-arm x-ray with image intensifier for different procedures.


Holter Monitoring for Inpatients and Outpatients.

Nursing Services at Green Crescent Hospital is administered on an ISO Standard with a full infrastructure of Policy Manuals, Job Description, Evaluations, Standard Problem Oriented Documentation, Nursing Quality Improvement and Education.

 

This Department is committed to provide excellent professional holistic nursing care through the nursing process, to individuals and their families.

 

Nursing is an accountable profession committed to Continuing Education for its members, on-going Quality Improvement research and evaluation of Nursing Practice in order to maintain current professional standards and contribute to the Theory and Practice of Nursing.

 

All Nurses are professional individuals who are accountable and responsible for their Nursing Practice and whose contribution to the patient care is important.  Each Nurse has a responsibility to share his/her experience, skills and knowledge with colleagues and has the right to have her opinions and suggestions regarding patient care considered.

 

Nurses use communication, clinical skills, interpersonal relationships and organization and management skills as the foundation of providing nursing care thru the Nursing Process.
